Why aren't my e-mail messages delivered?
There are few typical reasons why an e-mail message cannot be delivered (even
to your own working e-mail address).

Rejected by server
|
Message was rejected by remote SMTP server due to their
antispam settings.
Most of large smtp servers do not accept mail from home
computers (with dial-up or cable IP addresses). You need to send mail
via external SMTP server, it's strongly recommended. Please open Settings
/ Common Settings / SMTP
and add SMTP server of your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or hosting
service.

Transaction failed
No such address
User not local
|
Usually it happens when you try to send mail via an external SMTP server
that requires authentication, i.e. username / password. Please open Settings
/ Common Settings / SMTP,
double click at the server name and change Authentication
type. The most popular type is ESMTP. CRAM
and DIGEST are used at the less number of servers,
POP before SMTP is too old, not recommended
to use.
Note for hotmail.com - please check HELO value, it's very important.
Open Settings / Common Settings
/ Mailer and check value of HELO there. It must
be the same as at www.massmailsoftware.com/ip.

Atomic Mail Sender can not access the Internet or your Internet Service
Provider (ISP) does not allow direct email delivery.
1. Please check your firewall and antivirus settings. These programs
may block other applications to access network (ZoneAlarm, Panda, AVP,
McAfee, Norton, Symantec Internet Security).
2. Make sure your ISP allows direct email delivery. Otherwise you will
need to use your ISP SMTP server for sending out mail. Please open Settings
/ Common Settings / SMTP
and add SMTP server of your ISP SMTP there (you can find a list of SMTP
servers of popular providers here).
3. If there is a problem with DNS, please try to use Custom DNS (change
it in Common Settings / DNS).
Try to enter public worldwide DNS server - 204.101.251.2

SMTP syntax error
|
Usually it happens if you enter username / password in SMTP server settings
when it's not required. Please open Settings
/ Common Settings / SMTP,
double click at the server name and change Authentication
to Not required.

Authentication failure
Error in SMTP AUTH
|
You have an error in username or password used to access external SMTP
server.
Please open Settings / Common
Settings / SMTP, then double click at
the server name in the list and correct username and password there.
Note 1: Make sure CAPS LOCK is not pressed - it's important!
Note 2: Some SMTP servers require username "user@mail.com"
instead of "user", please investigate.

Mailbox is full
|
Recipient's mailbox is full. Not all people use Gmail
with 2Gb mailboxes. Some have very small mailboxes.

Error 421
|
It's temporary e-mail delivery failure.
Usually it happens if there are too many connections from you to the
smtp servers. Please decrease Threads Count
in Common Settings, or Speed Limit.

Delivering... forever
|
f you see Delivering... for a long time (say more than a minute), you
need to check the following:
1.Your message is really large and Atomic Mail Sender needs much time
to deliver it.
2. Atomic Mail Sender is completely blocked by your antivirus or firewall
and cannot access the Internet. Please double-click an e-mail address
in "Send Mail Monitor" window of
the program (or use right button menu).

Mail sending errors
First of all, please learn how to get an error report. It is very easy. Please
double-click an e-mail address in Send Mail Monitor (or use right mouse button
menu). The new "SMTP Connection Log"
window will appear. That's where you can see the error report.

After you look through the report, you can fix Atomic Mail Sender yourself.
Usually, it is not very difficult. Please choose the number of the error occurring
in Atomic Mail Sender while it is sending mail and
click the corresponding link below to find the explanation how to fix the problem.
Common questions about AMS
I can't send mail to @aol.com and @hotmail.com addresses. Please advise.

Please let me know why I only get the program to 'delivering' status and
that's it. Nothing seems to go out at all.

How many e-mails can I send in one click?
You can set the number of messages you want to send simultaneously in Settings
/ Common settings / Mailer
settings tab. You should change threads count to the number you need. It cannot
be more than 100.
If I use mass mailer to reach a certain market segment does that go through
my ISP? I'm worried about getting spam reports and being bumped by my server.
It sounds like this program has a work-around designed to solve that problem.
Does it?
Atomic Mail Sender has its own built in SMTP server. This allows you to
bypass your ISPs server and deliver the messages directly to the recipients
inbox. Atomic Mail Sender delivers e-mail without using any other servers.
(The message is not logged or stored on any servers, other than the receiving
one, making it available only to the recipient.) But some providers don't
accept mail from SMTP servers located on the dial-up computers, that's why
some mail should be delivered using your ISP.
Why messages are sent, but not received (or stay in Junk / Spam folder
instead of the "Inbox")
There are few typical reasons why sent messages are not received or delivered
to Junk folder:
- Change delivery type to External SMTP only.
Most of large mail systems do not accept mail from home computers (dial-up
or cable IP addresses). It's strongly recommended to send mail via external
SMTP servers (of your Internet Service Provider or hosting). Please open Settings
/ Common Settings / SMTP
and change delivery type to External SMTP only,
then enter SMTP server address.
- Check return e-mail address.
Open message properties (F3 or More...
button), make sure that you use valid e-mail address. Many mail servers reject
mail delivered from fake e-mail addresses.
- Check message content.
Make sure your message does not look like spam. Eg.
Your message shouldn't contain any spam words such as "VIAGRA, CIALIS
FOR FREE" etc. Such messages are automatically blocked by all antispam
software. Please create good looking messages. Try deliver e-mail message
to yourself to make sure it works.
I don't see any instructions on how to bring the emails I've collected
into Outlook Express for use in an email campaign.
Atomic Email Logger plug-ins can extract emails from Outlook, Eudora, The

I have registered my program and started mass-mailing. Why is this running
slow? Please let me know!
The process can be slow because of the message size. Try not to attach many
files. Also, HTML-bases messages go twice slower then text-based email. You
can choose Format / Plain
text message to change the message type.
You can also try setting the number of messages you want to send simultaneously:
Settings / Common settings
/ Mailer and enter your number. But it shouldn't
be a very large one, for example 300.
Can this software be used for more than one emailing list?
Yes, you can create as many lists as you want.
Is there a way to personalize the emails I send out without having to
enter them manually?

Can I merge the composed email message with my mailing list and other data?

Can Bulk Emailer be setup to pause for X seconds or minutes between each
email being sent?
Sorry, but there is not such option in the current version. You can try
decrease the threads count in Common Settings window. It can help.
When I try to send to a list of test recipients I get the message 'the
host is not reachable at this time'
You should try again later. If it doesn't work, please send us the error
log.
